Eleven Nigerian gymnasts (8 females and 3 males) were selected to represent the country at African All-Stars Level 4 to 10 System Gymnastics Event in South Africa that was held from August 2^nd to August 5^th 2017.

Coach Asuquo on his speech assured Nigeria Federation of Gymnastic before they left for the tournament that they were going to return with a medal but unfortunately, they missed their winning target as published by Punch.
